Personal injury refers to the personal harm you experience after an accident. This damage can be both psychological and physical. If you have sustained personal injury for which someone else is liable or for which you are insured, we can investigate whether you are entitled to compensation.

Letsolv investigates your case and can help you file a claim for compensation.

To determine potential compensation, all items of damage resulting from the accident are listed. Being able to prove that a loss is a result of the accident is very important. Without evidence, the opposing party’s insurer may question whether the damage was caused by the accident. This can ultimately lead to lower compensation. Therefore, please review our step-by-step plan.

You are not required to hire a personal injury lawyer to claim compensation. However, an experienced personal injury firm has all the necessary knowledge to assess whether you are entitled to compensation and to guide you through the duration of this process. Without this specialist knowledge, it is not easy to calculate all future damages and arrive at a correct compensation amount. Furthermore, you pay nothing for this guidance yourself because, if the opposing party is at fault, all these costs are reimbursed by their insurer. Letsolv employs specialists who have also worked for insurance companies and therefore speak the insurer’s language.

Naturally, recovering personal injury damages involves expert costs. But those costs are not paid by the victim; they are paid by the insurer of the liable party. This is stipulated by Dutch law. In this way, the victim receives the full amount of compensation as a net sum.

Letsolv represents you toward the (insurer of the) other party that caused you harm. Payments from insurers will be transferred directly to your bank account and therefore do not pass through Letsolv’s bank account. You can find more detailed information here

Yes, our personal injury experts travel throughout the Netherlands daily and will visit you wherever you live in the country, including the Wadden Islands. Following the initial consultation, we determine for you whether the damage can be compensated and, subsequently, which damages qualify for compensation.

Yes, personal injury from a dog bite or a bite from any pet can qualify for compensation. If it involves someone else’s pet, Letsolv can hold the pet owner’s insurer liable. Should it involve your own pet, please contact us so we can find out together whether you are insured for it. Pet bites can cause serious damage, and we always recommend contacting your GP immediately. Read more here about personal injury compensation after a dog bite.

After an accident, it can sometimes take a long time before your damages are definitively established. Only after we have determined, together with medical experts, that your situation will not change further, is the final balance of damages drawn up. It is therefore logical that you do not yet know the extent of the damage shortly after an accident. It is important, however, that you involve Letsolv as soon as possible, so that we can record all damages and evidence along the way and support you in finding help focused on your recovery. In this way, we can provide maximum guidance throughout the entire process of personal injury recovery.

The vast majority of personal injury cases are resolved through negotiation with insurers. Less than 2% require legal proceedings. The personal injury experts at Letsolv are mostly lawyers and/or NIVRE experts who have often worked for insurers and therefore know exactly how to negotiate with them to obtain optimal compensation for you. But if it is truly necessary for a successful result in your file, Letsolv will engage an LSA personal injury lawyer for you. You don’t have to search for one yourself.

Personal injury compensation is a reimbursement for past suffering and sometimes future suffering and costs you have yet to incur. In principle, this compensation is not seen as Box 1 income, but sometimes you may have to pay wealth tax on it in Box 3. When recovering damages, Letsolv experts take this into account when calculating the total loss. Click here for more information about personal injury compensation and paying taxes.
